  • Sentiments from Gina K. Stamps "Sweetest Blessing" set.
  • Recollections EP in Eggplant for both sentiments.
  • Dies: Beaded circles, Circles and Iron Works Accents from Spellbinders.
  • Distress ink in "Old Paper" and Lilac from Color Box.
  • White Pearls were colored in purple with Spectrum Noir Marker in PL5 to match the cardstock.
  • Yellow and Purple cardstocks from American Crafts and Bazzil.

May The Force Be With You!

Good Morning fellow bloggers!
It's Tuesday, so that means it's time for another Challenge at {Pin}sperational Challenges.

Our {Pin}sperational pic this week is:

Our wonderful sponsors this week are:
 Prize: 4 Digi's

and

Prize: 3 Digi's

I was excited this week to work with the Princess Leia Image from Sassy Studio which can be found here.

Here's what I came up with:
I colored the digi with Spectrum Noir markers and Smooch in White (boots) and Silver (Belt, Gun).

I did a sunburst for the background. (Technique found here) I embossed the Blue pieces with the Star EF from Cuttlebug and the Black pieces with the Cirles EF from Cuttlebug.

I then used the White Mica Fragments from Stampendous to create a crater rock effect. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. What do you think?

The sentiment was created in word and die cut and layered using the Spellbinders Curved Rectangles. Stars, bling and stickles (yellow, silver and Diamond) were used for embellishments.
Be sure to check out what the other fabulous DT's have created for you this week!
Happy Craftin'!

Post-It Note Holder

It's time for another challenge at Craft Your Passion Challenges.

Our theme this week for Challenge#177 is:
 Office Supplies
We want to see the creative way you incorporate office supplies on your card/project.
Our sponsors this week are:

Melonheadz : $15 Gift Certificate
The Robin's Nest : $10 Gift Certificate
Ok, a little about me first...I work in an office so this challenge got me thinking....What office supplies are there-Paperclips, stationary, staples, paper, file folders etc. What would I like to see on my desk?
Well here is what I came up with. I made these for my coworkers and they all loved them...I hope you do too! ;o)
I made a Post-It Note holder:

I used the "Tiny Wishes" stamp set from Penny Black for both the image and "Just a note..." sentiment.

I just recently got this stamp set for my birthday (no, I will not state which birthday it was..hehehe) so was very excited to be able to use it.

I colored the image with SN markers and used Liquid Pearls Buttercup on the flower centers. I stamped the sentiment with Peppermint Pink ink from Color Box. This was then die cut with the Die-namics Blueprints 3 circle from My Favorite Things.

I used an 8 1/2 x 3 1/4 piece of Sparkle Mint Green Heavy Card and scored it. For the front flap I used the EK Tools Punch to give it a sweet border. Glitter tape from American Crafts and Pearls from my stash were used to dress it up.

I used scor-tape to glue the Post-It note pad inside and a magnet and metal disc for the closure.

There you have it...who knew office supplies at work could be so cute? ;o)

Happy Craftin'!

Heartfelt Sympathy

Happy Thursday everyone! 1 more day and the weekend is here!!
Now, for today's card- it's a sympathy card. I've been card-making for years and never made a sympathy card, so I hope you enjoy my card as it's out of the norm for me. :o)

I stamped the Lily Image from Inkadinkado onto white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Markers. Stickles in yellow were used for the stamens and I used Glossy accents on the vase.

I then inked around the image with Red Ink from Recollections and used the Spellbinders Circle die cut.
I layered the image onto chevron DP paper from Recollections that was die cut with the Die-namics Blueprints 3 die from My favorite Things and layered this onto red cardstock from American Crafts.  I then pierced 2 of the corners and used White clear pearls from Recollections in the opposite corners. I finished it off with a white ribbon and layered it onto the white card base with pop-dots. The Sentiment was self-generated with Word and die cut with the smaller Spellbinders Circles. I finished it off with red ink to match the image.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Dutch Dare Challenge #231 : I Woof You!

Well, I have some exciting news...I'm now on the DT for Dutch Dare Card Challenges!  This is my first DT project, so without further ado...

Our challenge this week is ANIMAL ANTICS and I used Puppy Love from one of this week's sponsors, Sweet N Sassy Stamps.

I used Burgundy  American Crafts Cardstock for the card base and layered it with DP from Recollections, Brown Cardstock from American Crafts and the burgundy cardstock again.

I colored the Digi with Spectrum Noir Markers and tried dotting it to make it look like fur. I'm happy with how it turned out. :oD

I layered the image and sentiment with Burgundy cardstock. I used Glossy Accents on the bone to give it dimension. I made the Sentiment into a "Dog tag" by hole punching the hole and using Enamel Accents in Black around it to make it look like metal.

I finished it off with some paw and bone stickers from Michael's, brown and burgundy twine and a dog house brad from my stash.

I loved this stamp set! It can be used for many occasions its so versatile.

I decided on a step card this week, so I could have a "field of poppies". I layered the card with DP from Autumn Leaves "Pretty Poppies" collection. The poppy flowers are die cuts from the same collection.

I colored the digi with Spectrum Noir Markers and fussy cut her out and paper pieced her shirt and pants. I stickled the flower with Red Stickles and black bling center.

I stamped "Friend" with Red Recollections embossing powder onto another die cut from the Autumn Leaves collection.  I embellished the swirl tips with red bling in different sizes.

Friends Forever

Good evening friends, I have another friendship card for you this evening.

For the Sentimental Sundays Challenge you could NOT use a layer... I found this harder than I originally thought. Your tempted to keep adding a layer of Cardstock or DP. hahaha.

Well here it is...A CAS card that only has one layer.

I used the Humprey's Corner- Forever Friends   stamp from Crafter's Companion.

I stamped it onto pale pink cardstock from Recollections with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers and Silver Metallic Pen. I embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set in Pink from Recollections and finished it off with flowers and pearls from my stash.
